Bebelusul pluteste fericit in lichidul amniotic si deja se misca dupa bunul plac, avand destul loc la dispozitie la doar 13 saptamani de sarcina.

Creierul bebelusului se dezvolta rapid si cele doua emisfere incep sa transmita impulsuri. Fiecare emisfera controleaza partea opusa a corpului. Creierul se va maturiza in decursul urmatoarelor 10 saptamani.

Sistemul nervos periferic este inca in dezvoltare asa ca bebelusul nu simte inca temperatura, atingerea, echilibrul sau durerea.

In curand bebelusul tau va incepe sa auda, asa ca pregateste un nume temporar pe care tu si partenerul tau sa il folositi cand discutati cu el si despre el. Conexiunea oricum puternica dintre tine si bebe va fi astfel impartasita si cu partenerul de viata care devine tot mai protectiv.

Placenta alimenteaza copilul cu oxigen, vitamine, minerale dar si proteine, ajutand la eliminarea de dioxid de carbon si reziduuri; este mai mare decat bebelusul si permite substantelor sa fie transportate catre bebelus prin cordonul ombilical.

In saptamana 13 de sarcina, corpul tau continua incredibila transformare. Burtica este subtil vizibila si este posibil ca pantalonii sa nu se mai inchida la fel de usor. Poarta rochii sau bluze mai largute daca vrei sa te simti confortabil.

Faptul ca burtica ta se mareste poate fi dureros fiindca muschii care sustin uterul se alungesc. Vei simti dureri in partea inferioara a abdomenului sau inspre solduri. Unele mamici simt dureri mai intense dar scurte, pe cand altele se confrunta cu dureri prelungite si de intensitate mica.

Daca esti insarcinata cu gemeni, transformarile din corpul tau vor fi mai pronuntate. Sarcina multipla presupune analize multiple care sa elimine orice risc.

Schimbarile hormonale au efect si asupra cresterii parului, insa in sarcina epilarea folosind creme diverse poate fi contraindicata. Epilarea cu ceara este o solutie daca suporti durerea; tine cont de faptul ca pielea este totusi mult mai sensibila in perioada sarcinii.

Apetitul tau sigur este in crestere in a 13-a saptamana de sarcina! Nu depasi insa cantitatea de 2000-2500 de calorii zilnice si raporteaza-te la activitatea fizica pe care o ai in aceasta perioada. Daca simti ca apetitul tau este greu de controlat, mananca mai putin si des si alege gustari sanatoase - fructe sau fresh-uri.

Daca faci sport regulat si ai o alimentatie echilibrata, nu trebuie sa te ingrijoreze foarte mult cresterea in greutate.

Oboseala e posibil sa se resimta in acesta saptamana si in perioada urmatoare, asa ca opteaza pentru alimente care contin fier: legume verzi, carne rosie, cereale si paine integrala, prune. Vitamina C contribuie la absorbtia fierului in organism; bea asadar suc de portocale si renunta (sau redu considerabil) cantitatea de cafea consumata.

Iti recomand sa bei iaurt atunci cand simti ca iti este foame, dar consideri ca ai mancat suficient pana in acel moment. Iaurtul ajuta la digestie si inlatura senzatia de foame, fiind deopotriva o sursa buna de calciu.

Miscarea si sportul sunt necesare in sarcina dar evita exercitiile fizice care implica efort fizic mare, riscul de a te lovi sau de a cadea: scufundari, ciclism, maraton, schiat, calarit, patinaj, etc.

Testele de diagnostic sunt recomandate in al doilea trimestru si pot incepe chiar din saptamana 13 de sarcina, daca medicul decide asta.

Aceste teste sunt menite sa ofere raspunsuri privind existenta sau nu a unor malformatii genetice ale bebelusului.

Cateva din testele de diagnostic sunt amniocenteza si testul CVS (testul de vilus corionic). Testul de vilus corionic se poate efectua in aceasta saptamana (sau chiar si mai devreme) si indica existenta sindromului Down.

Acest test presupune prelevarea unor celule din placenta, prin introducerea unui ac prin abdomen. Placenta este incarcata de informatii genetice, indicand inclusiv sexul copilului. Riscul acestui tip de analiza este de 1 la 400 de a pierde sarcina, insa este mai sigur daca este efectuat dupa saptamana a zecea de sarcina.

Daca grupa ta de sange are Rh negativ, atunci vei primi o injectie care sa protejeze fatul daca grupa lui de sange are Rh pozitiv.
